just arrived back from family camp, and I don't have much to show other than a very slight tan and sunburned shoulders:) here are some shots from the lake along with the books I read this week.  enjoy!

books I read-
I provided links to Goodreads* where you can get better descriptions- these are mostly the emotions and impressions the books left me with, along with a rating on a five point scale.

a story of a girl who just wants to fly. not the best book I've ever read but it was very different than my usual fare. 3/5

Daughter of Deep Silence

an exciting and unpredictable tale that I recommend to anyone who likes books that are unusual. a revenge story, it pulls your emotions in different directions. ending is perfect. 4.5/5

I Am Her Revenge

chilling and calculated but slowly warms up into an interesting story that's unique and I love that.  also a revenge story, but a completely different flavor than the prior book. the ending is alright, but not as dynamic as I hoped. 4/5

The Pretenders

written as if it was a compilation journal entries, this book is a fun beach read that flies by, with the usual Lisi Harrison style.  fun read, but who knows if I'll read the following books. 3.5/5

*also, if you haven't used it yet, Goodreads is basically the best thing for avid book readers like myself- almost like a mix of pandora and pinterest for books.  highly recommended!!
